Nov. 30 – Dec. 17, 2017

This new two-character musical play traces the rags-to-riches story of Irving Berlin, of whom composer Jerome Kern once stated, “Irving Berlin has no place in American music.  He IS American music.”  In this unique musical we see Berlin, late in life, looking back on his career.  The reclusive elder songwriter is prompted by an admiring young visitor to look back on the life he’s led and the musical legacy he created.  Featuring William Group and Matthew Mooney.

Thank you to the County of Erie, County Executive Mark Poloncarz, and the Erie County Legislators for their generous support..
