Peter Palmisano
Peter has appeared on numerous stages throughout Buffalo and the surrounding area. Most recently, he was Cardinal Richelieu in THE THEREE MUSKETEERS at Shea’s 710 Theatre, and Judge Turpin in SWEENEY TODD at the Kavinoky, where he also appeared in last season’s huge hit MAMMA MIA!, and previously in A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, BOTH YOUR HOUSES, PROOF, GOOD PEOPLE, THE FARNSWORTH INVENTION MAURITIUS, NOISES OFF, and many others. At the Jewish Rep, he starred in its inaugural production of THE CHOSEN and, more recently, as Sid Silver in COMPULSION, and last season as Jonathan Waxman in SIGHT UNSEEN. A familiar face in local theater circles, Peter played Walter Keegan in THE COUNTRY HOUSE, Joe Keller in the critically acclaimed ALL MY SONS (for which he was named Buffalo Spree magazine’s “Best of WNY – Actor in a Play”), and Lawrence Jameson in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, with Road Less Traveled Productions (where he is a proud ensemble member), the Irish Classical, and Second Generation Theatre, respectively. Other favorite roles were in Shakespeare In Delaware Park’s productions of THE MERCHANT OF VENICE (Antonio), HAMLET (Claudius), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Oberon/Theseus) and TAMING OF THE SHREW (Petruchio). A retired teacher after 32 years, with degrees in both English and education, Peter considers himself incredibly lucky, first to be part of the Buffalo theatre community but, more importantly, to be the father of a wonderful daughter and the grandfather of her two beautiful little girls.
