Limited Engagement – A Special Tribute to Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
Gardner and Fanny Church are preparing to move from their Beacon Hill house to a cottage on Cape Cod. Gardner, a retired poet, slips in and out of senility as Fanny tries to keep them both afloat. They have asked their daughter, Mags, to come home to help with the move. On the verge of artistic celebrity, Mags hopes that she will finally paint their portrait and come to terms with them – and they with her. In the end, Fanny and Gardner actually step through the frame and become a work of art ineffable and timeless.
Limited Engagement – A Special Tribute to Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, We welcome The Alzheimer’s Association of WNY to lead our Talk Back Thursdays. The discussions will help bring awareness to Alzheimer’s disease and explore elements of “Painting Churches.”
Program is funded in part by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature; administered by Arts Services Initiative of Western New York.
